My name

It feels a bit self-conceited to have a page about my name, but I know that some people feel a bit awkward when they don't know how to address me.

My first name Hugh Mee. The first part, Hugh is pronounced "hyoo" (/hjuː/), rhyming with you and few (exactly like the first name in Hugh Jackman and Hugh Grant). The second part, Mee (/meː/), is almost the same as "may". Actually, most of the time, I just go by the pronunciation of "You May". :-)

For those who happen to know Cantonese: Hugh Mee is the romanisation of my Cantonese name 曉薇 (or 晓薇; Jyutping: hiu2 mei4).
